Alcohol Law (Title IV) Rewrite
Over the past several years stakeholders( mental health and addiction advocates, the ABC board, law enforcement, community leaders, hospitality industry, bar owners, craft brew and distiller industries) have worked on a detail plan to overhaul the state’s alcohol laws to make them more concise, equitable and easier to understand, while protecting current businesses and the ability for new business models to be incorporated as they evolve in the coming years.
The bill, SB 99, was filed last legislative session, but due to time constraints and other pressing issues before the legislature, it was decided by the bill sponsor, Sen. Micciche, not to move it. It is the intent of the Sen. Micciche to file the bill again this legislative session for action to be taken towards its passage.
